What type of group visit are you interested in?
MAAM offers two types of group visits: self-guided and guided. A self-guided experience allows your group to explore the museum independently, at your leisure (without a MAAM facilitator). A guided experience is facilitated by a museum staff person. Standard guided experiences last one hour.
Adult Groups (18+)
- All groups of five (5) or more individuals must register at least two weeks in advance of the anticipated visit date.
- MAAM can accommodate groups of 35 individuals or less.
- Group visits are preferred on Thursday or Friday.
- We are unable to accommodate guided group visits on Saturday or Sunday.
- At this time, we are able to accommodate a limited number of guided group groups during closed hours based on availability.
- In order to respond to high demand, we must limit each organization to no more than one group of up to 35 people per day.
- Your visit is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation letter by email from MAAM.
MAAM Guided Group Visit Voluntary Contribution:
Beginning January 2024, MassArt Art Museum invites organizations requesting a guided group visit to consider a voluntary contribution to support free access to art for all. Organizations wishing to visit MAAM without making a voluntary contribution are encouraged to explore the self-guided group visit option.
- Suggested Voluntary Contribution: $150 per guided group visit of 25 individuals or less; $5 per each additional individual beyond 25. Standard guided group visits are one hour in duration.
- Guided group visits are always free for Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Boston Public Schools.
