In Designing Motherhood contemporary artworks and medical devices designed to facilitate reproductive health are intermingled in the gallery to give a comprehensive look at human reproduction.⁠ ⁠ We are thrilled to share the work of @jesstdugan ‘07. In 2011, the artist began an ongoing project photographing their family, making images of themself, their partner Vanessa, and eventually their daughter, Elinor. ⁠ ⁠ This portrait captures a moment when both were exhausted but elated, like many new parents. ⁠ ⁠ In Jess’ words, “I’m interested in documenting my own family and also creating representations of queer and gender expansive families and butch/transmasculine parenting.”⁠ ⁠ ⬆️ Learn more about the exhibition at the link in bio⁠ ⁠ 🎟️ Admission is FREE, advance tickets not required.
